Modernize its digital platform for both B2B and B2C experience for leading brands

The Berkeley Company, a player with a wide range of products and a complex business model, was faced with the need to modernize its digital platform for both B2B and B2C customers.

Their existing solutions at Jetshop (now Norce) and their B2B platform could no longer cope with the advanced requirements they had for efficiency, customer management and integration.

Berkeley Company wanted to replatform from Jetshop and their current B2B solution to a new platform that could handle their complex business model.

In addition to meeting the requirements of a high-end B2B solution, the platform also needed to support a similar B2C experience. The integration of internal sales processes placed high demands on the flexibility of the platform, while at the same time it needed to handle complex pricing structures, large volumes of customers and orders, weekly deliveries, and special orders.

After a rigorous multi-party procurement process, Berkeley selected HDL to carry out the replatforming.

HDL built an advanced B2B solution on HDL Commerce that was tightly integrated with internal systems to move the entire sales department to the new platform. This meant that all internal sales processes, including complex pricing structures and special orders, were handled smoothly on the platform.

To ensure a coherent and user-friendly experience, we also developed equivalent B2C functionality, providing Berkeley with a unified platform for both consumers and business customers. The platform was built to cope with high volumes of customers and orders, as well as to support specific requirements such as weekly deliveries.

HDL delivered a technical platform that not only met all the complex requirements but was also wrapped in a great design.

The new platform offers a flexible solution that supports both B2B and B2C functions and enables Berkeley to manage large amounts of data and orders with high efficiency.

By moving internal sales processes to the HDL Commerce platform, Berkeley has gained a tool that simplifies their business processes, while the platform's user-friendly design improves the customer experience for both B2B and B2C customers.
